1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and restrictions that govern the use of the Troopix Service. Its purpose is to protect the integrity, security, and reliability of our Platform, our financial partners, and our community of Merchants by preventing illegal, fraudulent, and other harmful activities.
This AUP is an integral part of our Terms of Service and is incorporated therein by reference. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy at all times. Capitalized terms used in this AUP without definition shall have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.
Any violation of this AUP will be considered a material breach of the Terms of Service and may result in immediate action, including but not limited to, the suspension or termination of your account, at our sole discretion.
2. Prohibited Businesses and Industries
You may not use the Troopix Service for or in connection with the businesses, industries, or activities listed below. This list is based on our internal risk assessment and the requirements imposed upon us by our financial partners, such as banks and payment networks. Please note that this list is non-exhaustive, and we reserve the right to amend it at any time, in our sole discretion, to adapt to evolving risks and regulatory obligations.
a) Illegal Products and Services
Any product, service, or activity that is illegal in the jurisdiction where you operate or where your Buyer is located.
Counterfeit goods, replicas, or products that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
Illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances, including paraphernalia used for their manufacturing or use.
Stolen goods or services related to human trafficking.
b) Adult Content and Services
Pornography and other obscene materials, including websites and services that feature sexually explicit content.
Prostitution, escort services, and adult live chat services.
c) Gambling and Betting Services
- Lotteries, raffles, sports betting, casino games, fantasy sports leagues that require an entry fee for a prize, and any other form of gambling activity.
d) Unregulated Financial and Professional Services
Unlicensed money services businesses (MSBs), including currency exchange, check cashing, and money transmitters.
Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, and other "get-rich-quick" schemes.
Credit repair or debt settlement services.
Pseudo-pharmaceuticals or products making unsubstantiated health claims.
Sale of virtual currencies, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, or mining hardware.
Investment services, securities brokers, or stock market trading platforms.
Crowdfunding or crowd-lending platforms.
e) Firearms, Explosives, and Other Dangerous Materials
Firearms, gun parts, ammunition, explosives, and weapons of any kind.
Hazardous materials, combustibles, and radioactive materials.
f) Other High-Risk Businesses
Certain multi-level marketing (MLM) businesses.
Businesses with a history of excessive Buyer disputes, MEDs, or chargebacks.
Businesses that engage in deceptive, unfair, or predatory advertising or business practices.
Any other business or activity that Troopix, in its sole discretion, deems to pose an unacceptable level of financial, legal, or reputational risk.
g) Quasi-Cash and Stored Value
Sale of traveler's checks, money orders, or foreign currency.
Gift cards, prepaid cards, game codes, or vouchers that can be redeemed for cash or goods (unless directly issued by the Merchant for their own specific inventory).
Top-up services for mobile wallets or digital accounts.
3. Prohibited Use of the Service
In addition to the prohibitions on certain business types outlined in Section 2, you are prohibited from using the Service for any of the following actions or purposes:
a) Fraudulent or Malicious Activity
Engaging in any fraudulent, unlawful, deceptive, or malicious purpose, including but not limited to, money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other financial crime.
Defrauding Troopix, other Troopix users, or any third party for any reason.
b) Providing False Information
- Submitting any false, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information to Troopix, including during the Onboarding Process, in response to a dispute (MED), or in any other communication with our team or through our Platform.
c) Interference with the Service
Taking any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, or that could damage, disable, or impair the functioning or security of the Service.
Attempting to disrupt, hack, reverse-engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform, its systems, or the data of other users.
Transmitting any viruses, worms, malware, or other malicious code through the Platform.
d) Personal or Non-Commercial Use
- Using the Service for any purpose other than for bona fide commercial transactions for legitimate goods and services. You may not use the Service for personal, family, or household purposes, including sending money to yourself or others where no underlying good or service is sold. Peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers, donations (unless you are a registered charity approved by Troopix), and payroll payments are strictly prohibited.
e) Evasion of Policies
Creating or using multiple accounts to bypass operational limits, evade a Holdback, or circumvent a suspension.
Processing a single large sale as multiple smaller transactions to stay below transaction monitoring thresholds.
Using the Service in any way that is intended to avoid fees, dispute monitoring, or other policy controls.
4. Monitoring and Enforcement
4.1. Right to Monitor and Investigate. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, investigate, and review your account activity and the content of your transactions to ensure compliance with this AUP and our Terms of Service. We may use automated systems and manual reviews to screen for suspicious or prohibited activity.
4.2. Consequences of Violation. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated any provision of this AUP, we may take any and all of the following actions, with or without prior notice to you: a) Issue a formal written or electronic warning; b) Suspend your access to the Service, either temporarily or permanently; c) Terminate your account and the Terms of Service immediately; d) Implement a Holdback (Rolling Reserve) on your funds or freeze your Payouts as necessary to mitigate risk; e) Report the activity to and cooperate fully with law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or our financial partners; and/or f) Take any other legal or technical action we deem appropriate to enforce this policy and protect the Service and our users.
4.3. No Waiver. Our failure to enforce this AUP in any particular instance does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so in any other instance.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, you are encouraged to report it to us immediately. To report a suspected violation, please contact our compliance team by sending an email to compliance@troopixpay.com.
Please include a detailed description of the suspected violation and any relevant evidence (such as screenshots or links) to assist us in our investigation. We will review all good-faith reports and take appropriate action at our discretion.
6. Changes to This Policy
Troopix reserves the right to modify or update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time and in our sole discretion. We will do so by posting a revised version of this policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
All changes and modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review this AUP periodically to stay informed of our current rules and restrictions. Your continued use of the Service after a revised version of this AUP has been posted will constitute your binding acceptance of the changes.
